- Finance - Ray has already committed funds of his own to the first two climbs and for deposits & other financial commitment to coming projects.
- Motivational speaking engagements for The Sunflower Fund (South African Bone Marrow Registry) and the South African National Blood Transfusion Service (SANBS) Whole Blood and Apheresis (Platelet) Units
- Awareness Campaigns for the Promotion of Blood & Platelet Donations and Marrow Donation Registry on behalf of The Sunflower Fund and the South African National Blood Transfusion Service (SANBS) Whole Blood and Apheresis (Platelet) Units
- Family - The involvement and commitment of the entire family of a person during and after a serious illness is immeasurable – The Funnell family is committed to helping Jay and Ray achieve their goals. (Note: During a really rough time in Ray’s recovery, it was Lynne who suggested that the family make plans to see the Seven Wonders of the World that turned into this ongoing adventure.)
- Fund Raising - A Fund Raising Campaign for Bone Marrow Donation Registration and Donations on behalf of The Sunflower Fund
- Fitness and Health - Ray & Jay are committed to maintaining a high level of health and fitness in order to ensure their ability to fulfill their Blood Product Awareness and Seven Summits campaign
